Challenged with an unsympathetic public bias towards people living with obesity, this provocative binaural audio experience helped this sales force develop critical patient empathy.
The experience plunged reps into the tortuous world of a woman living life with obesity. Surrounded by lifelike 3-dimensional audio, the listener “left” the ballroom and entered the patient’s psyche – hearing the mocking voices in her head and the thoughtless cruelty of other voices in her life. Sadly, all of the specific “scenes” were based on true stories obtained from the market research team.
The scenic environment was inspired by a sensory deprivation tank, with comfortable seating and mood lighting to enhance focus on the audio story.
